    Job Description:

    The Senior Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing contract development, negotiation, administration, and compliance for construction projects, particularly government projects. The role ensures contractual clarity, minimizes risk, and safeguards the company’s commercial interests.

    Qualifications:

    B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Production Engineering; Diploma holders with extensive relevant experience may also apply.

    Industry Exposure: Metro Rail (DMRC / MMRC / NMRC / Rapid Rail), Steel Bridge Fabrication, EPC Infrastructure, Heavy Engineering.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Fabrication & Welding Expertise: In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes including MIG, TIG, SMAW, SAW welding, cutting methods (plasma, oxy-fuel), and forming operations.

    Drawing Interpretation & Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading structural, fabrication, and isometric drawings with strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (IS 800, IS 2062, AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).

    Quality Control & Inspection Skills: Experience in NDT methods (UT, RT, MPI, DPT), surface treatment standards (Sa 2.5), DFT measurement, and coating inspection.

    Software & Planning Proficiency: Skilled in MS Project/ Primavera P6 for scheduling, AutoCAD for drawing verification, and MS Office tools for reporting and documentation.

    Leadership & Safety Compliance: Strong leadership and coordination skills with sound knowledge of EHS regulations, OHSAS/ISO 45001 standards, and hotwork permit systems.

    Responsibilities:

    Fabrication Planning & Execution Plan, supervise, and control structural steel fabrication for metro projects (girders, trusses, canopies, and ancillary components), ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications.

    Technical Review & Shop Coordination Interpret and validate fabrication, shop, and GA drawings; raise RFIs, oversee shop activities (fit-up, welding, cutting, grinding), and ensure compliance with approved method statements and WPS standards.

    Quality Control & Inspection Ensure QA/QC compliance through NDT (UT, RT, MPI, DPT), weld inspections, surface treatment processes (blasting, painting), and maintain material traceability records (MTCs, heat numbers, reports).

    Erection, Coordination & Reporting Supervise erection of fabricated steel structures at site, coordinate with civil/MEP teams, and maintain detailed progress reports, NCRs, and material logs for client/PMC reviews.

    Safety, Procurement & Team Leadership Enforce EHS and permit-to-work systems, coordinate with procurement for materials and consumables, support tendering/estimation, and mentor junior engineers and fabrication teams.
